When we developed the HEATSTICK, we had the world’s most demanding clients and end-users in mind. Our goal was to create the most effective and dedicated personal stove for heating and sterilizing water for dehydrated rations, beverages and personal hygiene in some of the world’s most hostile and harsh environments.
Our radical new design and flameless heating technology has redefined performance for outdoor stoves by heating from the inside out, making it totally immune to wind. To boost performance even more, the water container is enclosed in an insulating neoprene sleeve. Our flameless heating technology transmits 70% of the energy by infrared radiation and the rest by thermal convection. This makes the HEATSTICK so effective that the outlet air temperature is close to body temperature. The outlet air is used for keeping the FUELSTICK (HEATGEAR’s gas canister) warm, so the HEATSTICK can perform at subzero temperatures where no canister stove has ever gone before.
The HEATSTICK’s built-in pressure regulator automatically adjusts the gas flow for optimal heat output at all temperatures, elevations, and fuel levels, requiring no adjustment by the user. The built-in thermal valve automatically shuts off the gas flow when the water reaches approximately 90 °C (194 °F). These are two very cutting edge features when you are using the HEATSTICK on the move to reduce the downtime for heating water.
In terms of size, the HEATSTICK system is truly unique in its versatility. The wide mouth Tritan copolyester bottle used for holding the heated water also acts as a high-quality water bottle and a safe storage container for the HEATSTICK itself. The HEATSTICK only takes up approx. 0.06 liters (2 oz) of space when in the bottle.
